Child’s play (a reverse story)

as he points the gun and prepares to shoot

a smile spreads across his face

it’s just a game

becomes the perfect defence

killing the enemy

child’s play

in a virtual world

inflicting maximum casualties

a call of duty

the thrill of killing is

consuming every fibre of his body

on the connection

even experts are divided

video games and human behaviour-

the interface between gaming and crime

cold and unemotional

the official diagnosis

emptiness behind icy blue eyes

as his weapon cuts a swathe through humanity

lifeless bodies hit the ground

games like this

perfect training for

mass murder
