First they took out the power stations.
We were so blind – we only fortified the cities, expecting attacks on the most densely populated areas. But they were smarter than that.
They didn’t go for the cities.
The power stations were just sitting there, squatting unprotected in the regional towns. They were the hearts, pumping an electrical lifeblood all around the country.
I have to admire the execution of the attack. They all exploded at once – every last one of them. Gas, solar, hydroelectric and coal stations all around the country wiped out.
And then the cities went dark.
