Game, set, match

The game promised “total immersion”. Levels of realism and involvement never seen before.

Nervous with expectation, Jack donned the virtual display.

Instantly, he was in another world. Vivid colours like he had never seen. Strange landscapes, unfamiliar sounds, creatures from alien realms.

Suddenly he was running for his life, leaping over wide canyons with superhuman powers. His heart raced. Blessed with 360 degree vision he could perceive any threat and counter it with evasion or overwhelming force. He was a King…no, a God.

“And this is how you found him?” asked the policeman, removing the goggles from the lifeless body.
