The cheery ice cream van music was coming from the distance. It was plying its trade. Catching the ears of children, making them excited, expectant.
I was trying to picture how much money I had. Those ice creams are expensive and my wallet is very light. As the music grew louder and closer, the kids chimed their heads up.
Amazing how they hear distant music but not my voice.
The van entered the street, the kids were begging for the money.
I said, “That music is saying he has run out of ice cream today, be ready for next time”.
